Pledge of Allegiance. Announcements are posted on the bulletin board in the main lobby each morning.
There is help before school in Room 35 on Tuesdays & Thursday beginning at 7:10 AM. Please enter the building in the back at door #23.
There will be help available Tuesdays and Thursdays- either to use the computers or for help in a specific subject after school in Room 15 (the 8th grade computer lab) from 2:30-3:00 for all 7th & 8th grade students.
Message from LHS PTSA: Thank you for your continued support in recycling your used cell phones, ink cartridges, etc. throughout the school year. We will continue to take your items all school year. Below is a list of the items we collect, as well as used cell phones:
*Empty inkjet/laser cartridges, *Laptops, *Video game consoles/games, , *Digital cameras, *iPods, *DVD movies, *GPS systems, *PDAs/Palm Pilots
We have a collection box at the LMS circle desk.
This year’s high school boys’ basketball camp will take place from Monday, June 11th through Friday, June 15th. Camp for grades 7 through 9 will be during the afternoon. Applications for the high school basketball camp are available at the circle desk.
Attention 7th graders who are interested in next year’s Washington DC trip, don’t forget that in order to receive the Early Registration Discount, you must register by Wed., June 6th. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Rose or Ms. Murray.
Flag Football Fundraiser to support the Whitaker Family – Saturday, June 16th. It will take place on the LYF Field behind LHS. 3 Divisions with 10/12 players per team. Registration Deadline is Friday, June 1st. There is a packet with more information at the circle desk for you to pick up and a box to put your application/registration fee in.
Yearbook: Our yearbooks will be given out on the last day of school. We have received the shipment. We have a few extra books if anyone would like to purchase them – we need to return the books that are not purchased shortly. If you did not order a yearbook and would like to purchase one, the cost is $23.00. Please stop in the office to place your order with your payment.
With the help of NovaCare and UC Orthopedics, Loveland High School will hold its annual physicals on Saturday May 19 from 8am – 11am in the main gym. Cost is $20.00 per student with ALL PROCEEDS donated back to the athletic trainers room. Physicals will be available for all athletes regardless of grade.
For any 8th Grader interested in running Cross Country at the High School in the fall: there will be a meeting at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, May 22nd in Room 16 of the Middle School to discuss summer running and paperwork.
Drama: end of the year Ice Cream Social/Awards Program will be Tuesday, May 29th right after school. Please sign up outside choir room.
Donut Daze: PTSA will be selling glazed donuts for $1.00 each this Friday at 7:30 am in both the LMS and LIS lobbies.
Terry Toney, who conducted the LMS Astronomy event, is hosting another event at her school in the Hamilton City School District on June 5 at Ridge Way Elementary. It might be a fun thing to kick off your summer break. Information from their website, as well as links to their district page is below: Mark June 5, 2012 – Venus will be transiting between the Earth and the Sun at approximately 6:04 p.m. Ridgeway will have telescopes with safety filters as well as #14 welders glass to view this once in a lifetime event. There are summer track forms at the circle desk for anyone interested in going to track camp over the summer.
Lunch check reminder: please turn in your checks at the circle desk before school – it helps the lunch line move more smoothly and efficiently.
If you will be shadowing or visiting another school, please pick up a School Visit Form from Mrs. Kennedy at the circle desk at least a week before the visit.
