Treasurer
The Treasurer’s Office oversees all of the financial operations of the district, including payroll for 550 employees. The Treasurer serves as the Chief Financial Officer and reports directly to the Board of Education.
Brett Griffith has been the Treasurer of the Loveland City School District since April 2008. He is a 1982 graduate of the Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree, Department of Education. He spent the next 13 years in various manufacturing industries working in the purchasing and engineering departments. While still working in industry, Mr. Griffith went back to college and received his Masters degree in Education with an emphasis on School Finance from Ashland University in 1998. He started his career in school finance in 1996 as a Treasurer/CFO. Over the past twelve years, Mr. Griffith has worked in four different school districts. The school district he worked for prior to coming to the Loveland City School District was with the Granville Exempted Village Schools where he worked for nine years. He has been married to his wife Valerie for 28 years and has two daughters.

Data Comparison by School District-On October 24, 2011, the Cincinnati Enquirer ran a story comparing area school districts and their relative tax burden. This chart compares school districts from four counties (Hamilton, Clermont, Warren, and Butler) on a larger number of data points including: the tax burden by community, the percentage of residents’ salary going to the school district, the wealth of the community, and amount of funding from the state by district.
